Dada Movement

Saying the word Dada, already sounds something crazy or weird. The Dada movement was founded in Europe at the time of the first world war. You may ask yourself what is the Dada movement??
The Dada movement was group of 'artists' (cause most probably calling them an artists wasn't good) which they wanted to be heard. There was no other way to speak out, so they started rebelling with art it self. Fighting for art with art, basically they destroyed art so they can be heard.
In this time typography was invented, which they used is for posters.

Typography in poster

One of the most controversial painting that Dada has created. The remake of the Monalisa, originally done by Leonardo de Vinci. Marcel Duchamp made this post card in 1919. What's the initials for? If you read it in french, it has a meaning of a nasty thing.

This is why Dada was different and stood out, they took a very famous painting and painted mustache, so people was already shocked by seeing the Monalisa like that and the last phrase when translated, the artist knew that people will scandalise their selfs.
